About OSL

History & Mission

A brief History

Oxford School of Learning Ltd was started in 1986. Even in its early days the college seemed was a trend-setter. We had no set fees, merely charging ‘50% below our competitors.’ Tutors had no set rate. They were merely paid ‘10% more than you can earn elsewhere’.

Even now, 17 years later our fees are below what our competitors charged all that time ago! We also pay our tutors more than any other private college in Oxford. This is to ensure we can always recruit only the very best of tutors available. They must have enthusiasm for their subject and for their employers – in this way the student will receive the best possible tuition.

Much the same approach is taken towards examinations. An ‘A’ grade at Business Studies A level can take as little as 4 weeks. You do not have to believe us – check the newspaper articles. If we took longer then parents would pay more fees. It would simply be a ruse to gain more revenue and more profits.

If you want to do that, then, fine. We’ll give you a 2-year A level course – and charge you for it.

We were the first tutorial college to support a charity – The Dystonia Society.

In addition to the above OSL also teaches people online, for free. If people wish to donate to charity then we encourage this. There is NO other organisation in the UK that offers Business Studies online – and totally free.

So what does OSL actually offer?

In addition to the above OSL also teaches people online, for free. If people wish to donate to charity then we encourage this. There is NO other organisation in the UK that offers Business Studies online – and totally free.

Oxford School of Learning offers group and individual tuition in a wide range of A level subjects. This tuition is supported by our own range of publications plus internet back-up. We help students find employment and/or attain a university place.

But we also do something else. We try to help the community. This is through our conference work. In 1996 we started running conferences in Oxford. By 1997 these conferences were taken out of Oxford and are now held in London - alternatively we will bring the conference to your school.

The underlying theme of all of the products and services of Oxford School of Learning is that the satisfaction is derived from the creation and distribution NOT the profit itself. We are the ONLY tutorial college/publisher that gives 100% of our conference fees to charity, the Dystonia Society.

In 13 years we have consistently been proven that our teaching methods work as student after student passes the A-level Business Studies examination after a short burst of intensive tuition. We teach - via the Internet - students from all over the world, with much of it for free. We raise money for the Dystonia Society and run conferences at schools throughout the UK.
